Step 1: Create a Windows 7 Password Reset CD/DVD
Download
the AD Password Reset and save it on any computer you have access to.
Unzip the downloaded file, there should be an ISO image file: apr.iso.
You can use the freeware BurnCDCC to burn the ISO image to a blank
CD/DVD.
Step 2: Boot from Windows 7 Password Reset CD/DVD
To
force your computer to boot from the Windows 7 Password Reset CD/DVD,
you need to change the boot order in BIOS: Set CD/DVD as the 1st boot
device.
Insert the Windows 7 Password Reset CD/DVD on your locked
computer and restart the computer. The boot loading screen should
appear immediately.

Step 3: Reset Windows 7 password
Click
the Reset Windows Local Password button. Select your Windows 7 SAM
registry hive, the program will automatically list all Windows 7 user
accounts.
Select a user account whose password you forgot, then click the Reset button to remove the password.
Click the Exit button to reboot the computer. You will be able to get into Windows 7 system using a blank password.
